This cool video features the stealthy PAK-FA next generation fighter along with other interesting Russian hardware.

To celebrate the Russian Aerospace Force Day, the Russian MoD has published an interesting clip showing some of its most advanced combat planes including the newest Sukhoi T-50 fifth generation fighter PAK FA – Perspektivny Aviatsionny Kompleks Frontovoy Aviatsii—Future Tactical Air System.

Along with the stealth aircraft equipped with a front, side and rear AESA radar, as well as L Band radars, TVC (Thrust Vectoring Control), a top speed exceeding Mach 2 and supermaneuverability, the footage shows the Tu-160 Blackjack, the Tu-95 Bear bombers, the MiG-29KUB naval fighter, Yak-130 advanced jet trainer, Su-35S fighter, Su-33 naval fighter (during Top Gun-like ops), as well as Fulcrums and Flankers of the Strizhi (The Swifts) and Russkiye Vityazi (The Russian Knights) aerobatic display teams.

According to TASS, the footage was recorded by Pavel Novikov from an Antonov An-12 military transport aircraft in south Russia this year.

    • Oh!? None… And Russia doesn’t even intent to produce more than 12… probably around the year 2150…

    • None. Its really more of a “technology demonstrator” ….and it actually doesn’t really demonstrate anything new other than the Russians ability to form a different “outer shell” than that of a Flanker

  1. f-me, look at the slats on the T-50… theres GOOD reasons why they look nothing like that on the raptor…

Just ADD IT to the long list of engineering reasons it’s NOT a stealth aircraft … it’s 1 half step more stealthy than a rhino with a paintjob…

…YEP, all that indian money got embezzled. .. they paid billions for the russians to get sheets of plywood screwed to a flanker & sent over to west coast customs Moscow for a “pimp my ride” propaganda paintjob… though i’m sure the stereo is “banging”… with custom LEDs and sh*t…pft!

    • when did Indians pay billions?

The Indians have only paid 250 millions for the initial R&D of the FGFA project (not PAK FA), that’s it. All the work done on the existing PAK FA prototypes is paid solely by the Russians. So the Indians have nothing to do with the current PAK FA project at all.

    • A clean rhino has the lowest RCS on any ‘fourth generation’ airframe and tbh probably not any less stealthy than this.. this… SU27 with a paint job and crap engines… The YF23 was better 20 yrs ago!
