An Ilyushin Il-76 buzzing some people at an airbase in Ukraine.
A few months ago we published a video showing Ukrainian Air Force Su-25 Frogfoot bombers flying at treetop altitude over Melitopol airbase, in southeastern Ukraine.
The Frogfoot jets could be seen buzzing the tower and flying low over parked Il-76 cargo planes. Well, here’s a new video showing the opposite: a Candid making a low pass over parked Su-25s.
As already commented when we posted the Su-25 footage, although the Ukrainian pilots may have to fly at very low-level (where they can be particularly vulnerable to MANPADS as those in the hands of pro-Russia separatists in eastern Ukraine) such low passes seems to be a bit too risky….

I do not understand what the Ukrainians have to be so happy to do these stunts. They Aviation reduced to four scrap, otherwise they can not fly the separatist pro-Russian break down the planes, have little money to make a war against a giant, but want to have fun doing the top gun
You don’t have to be happy in order to do a low pass. I was figuring they were doing it for morale of the ground guys who probably make nothing yet continue to keep what they do have up and running. It’s probably pretty bleak so this raised some spirits.

Nice catch. Useless air force there. They should just try to sell their combat planes to ME countries who can use them while setting up some kind of global transport leasing company for their Ilyushin’s and Antonov’s.
