The image above shows something you don’t see every day: a T-38 Talon and a B-2 Spirit , both flying with the 509th Bomb Wing, during a training mission over their homebase at Whiteman Air Force Base, Missouri, on Feb. 20, 2014.
The T-38 Talon jets, used to train B-2 Spirit aircrews, are assigned to the 394th Combat Training Squadron whose role is to provide the 509th Bomb Wing with highly qualified, mission-ready pilots, as well as to implement all B-2 and T-38 formal training courses.
