Video: Landing a B-52 at Barksdale Air Force Base

This video will put you aboard a Buff as the strategic bomber intercepts and follows the localizer on an ILS approach for runway 33 and, after landing, taxies to the parking spot among many other B-52s at Barksdale Air Force Base.

Watch the control yoke continuously moving as the pilots direct the huge plane into the approach procedure.

Barksdale’s 307th Bomb Wing/93rd Bomb Squadron recently deployed to Europe, using a radio callsign reminiscent of the WWII and (most probably) of the Sept. 11 terrorist attack on the Benghazi consulate.
