I truly appreciate debate, but not when it becomes unproductive.

I think that few blogs/media outside Argentina have published articles highlighting the braveness of some Argentine pilots and it's not TheAviationist's fault if for the large majority of the world, that conflict is known as "Falklands war" and not as "Malvinas war".

Hence, you can't blame us for using Falklands in the title, especially since, as a sign of respect, we (I and the British Richard Clements) have mentioned the islands as Falklands/Malvinas.

Some times, nationalist comments don't do justice to a nation, nor to its heroes.

I think I just wont respond to this post....i've been a pilot for 4 years and i've just joined the French air force. I'm from a family of pilots of all sorts, some French, some English and most fighter pilots will tell you the same thing: we love flying but its not our call to engage a "hostile target", please, i love this website, so much, don't ruin my fun by responding with nationalist comments. If you love the Falklands/ Malvinas so much go ask the habitants if they want to be Argentinian or English, its not your call.
p.s: i wont highlight the fact you asked David to call the islands Malvinas/ Flakland and didn't do it yourself.

I think you should better read (or browse through) the +1,000 articles on this blog. You'll find that the color codes of weapons has been widely discussed in several posts. Colored stripes to highlight live vs inert warhead are one thing, overall light blue SAMs is another one.

To author who write this

I think you shoudn't talk about something you don't know, and from your posting it si clear that you don't know anything about SAM especually Iranian SAM.
First of all blue color means in hole world that is missle for trening without warhed and that is the same for all SAM and AAM,AGM,...etc
White missle with blue track means that is missle for training live with warhed (for live shooting and practice)
SAYAD 1 is upgrade of HQ 2B, ,SAYAD 1A is upgrade SAYAD 1 with added IR tracking,, for SAYAD 2 oficial spec. are unknown .
For you and your knowledge it is naive colour for SAM, but both NATO and Rusian color identification are the same and that is excatly how I explain.

Ditto Luciano - I actually had to google to confirm, as I could not believe that any country would wrap a national day around that. That would actually have been rather pathetic. (They didn't even sink the ship!). The writer certainly implies something that should be corrected.
